Embargo Policy

  • All presentations, including oral and posters, presented at TTS 2026 are under embargo until the time of their formal presentation at the Congress.
  • Embargoed information must not be published, broadcast, posted on social media, or otherwise distributed prior to the start time of the session in which the research is presented.
  • Once presented, the information is considered public and may be reported and discussed without restriction.
  • Any press materials issued by TTS 2026 will clearly indicate embargo dates and times where applicable.
  • Violations of this embargo policy may result in disciplinary action, including revocation of media credentials and restriction from future TTS meetings. This policy is not legally binding but is strictly enforced.

Social Media Use

  • Live posting from sessions (e.g., via X, LinkedIn, or other platforms) is permitted only after the embargo has lifted (i.e., once the presentation has begun), unless otherwise specified.
  • Posts must accurately reflect the data and clearly indicate that findings are preliminary if not yet peer-reviewed.
  • Respect presenter requests regarding sharing of specific data or images.
  • Use of the official Congress hashtag (#tts2026) is encouraged for broader engagement.

Guidelines for Media Representatives

  • Accredited media are welcome to cover TTS 2026 and report on scientific and policy developments.
  • Journalists are expected to report findings accurately, responsibly, and in appropriate clinical context.
  • Research presented at the Congress may be preliminary and should be clearly identified as such if not yet published in a peer-reviewed journal.
  • When quoting presenters or interviewees, statements should be attributed to the individual and not interpreted as official positions of TTS.
  • For official statements, media should contact TTS leadership or designated spokespersons via the Congress communications office.

Presenter Materials

  • Presenters retain ownership of their materials. Use of slides, images, or other content requires prior permission from the presenter or rights holder.
  • Recording, photographing, screenshotting, or reproducing presentation materials without explicit consent is prohibited.
  • Media representatives are encouraged to request approved figures or slides directly from presenters or through the TTS communications team where available.

Photography and Recording

  • A strict no-photo, no-audio-recording, and no-video-recording policy applies to all scientific sessions unless explicitly authorized by both the presenter and Congress organizers.
  • This includes the use of mobile devices.
  • Official photography and video coverage will be coordinated by the TTS secretariat.

Intellectual Property (IP)

  • Authors and presenters are responsible for ensuring that all content complies with applicable intellectual property, confidentiality, and institutional policies.
  • TTS assumes no responsibility for disputes related to intellectual property, data ownership, or unauthorized use of materials.

Interviews and Press Activities

  • Media interviews with speakers should be arranged in advance where possible or coordinated onsite through the TTS assigned onsite media representative.
  • Press briefings and media availability sessions (if scheduled) will be communicated to accredited media.
  • Embargo policies apply equally to interview content discussing unpublished data.

Enforcement

  • Failure to comply with these guidelines - including embargo violations, unauthorized recording, or misrepresentation of scientific content - may result in:
    • Immediate revocation of media credentials
    • Removal from the Congress venue
    • Restrictions on access to future TTS meetings
